Parking Boss:
A Zabal Media Success Story
Parking Boss, Amenity Boss, and Luminous Residential are now a part of Community Boss. We began working with Parking Boss to help their customers take control & create revenue with smart parking for apartments. We were able to collaborate closely with their designer and co-founder to completely redesign their brand look and feel and to migrate their entire portfolio of product websites over to the Webflow CMS.
Understanding the business
Business Goals
Parking Boss was rapidly growing and needed to create a new website that was up to date with their latest product offering. They were seeking a Webflow partner that can work closely with their team as an extension of their internal design team.
Business Challenges
The previous development company had built the website in a non-scalable way. The Parking Boss team was struggling to keep the website up to date due to the fact that it was so difficult to make updates. Most updates took weeks or months to apply.
Asking the right questions
Research goals
How might we highlight that Parking Boss is the superior solution to apartment parking management in a way that is obvious and intuitive?
Guest Parking
Having the ability for guests to understand how the product worked was a critical part of the value added through Parking Boss.
Resident Parking
The apartment managers could greatly benefit from having this data on hand while making staffing decisions.
Parking Enforcement
Having visibility into how compliant the apartment parking is managed is important for most managers.
Living Integrations
Adding integrations on top of the Parking Boss platform allows their users to do more with less effort.
Interface inspirations
Illustration style
After careful consideration, we decided that illustrations / line art would be unique and new to a rather boring industry.
Creating the systems
Making design useful
We worked closely with their visual designer on the team. Together, we were able to bring illustrations in combination with best ux/ui best practices to their marketing website.
Having a balanced foundation between visual design and ux was a key focus on the website because parking software has been traditionally boring or antiquated.

Applying branding
Once we settled on the general look and feel, we were able to apply the brand designs to their multiple portfolio companies, which lead to a cohesive experience across all of their products.
